God has been so gracious to us. Now that we have the land He promised, we need to take the next step in building this Ark of grace. God gave Noah the plans on just how to build His Ark. We at Ark Of Grace, have sought God’s will on just how we should construct our modern day Ark. We present to you here the projects, how we plan, to do it. We ask and we pray that you might support us in the construction of Ark Of Grace as God directs you.
Income Generating Projects: (Improving all the time; harvesting crops at present; still in progress of building house for chickens)
To insure Ark of Grace runs more smoothly, we desire to develop programs that will generate our own income: 1. We will build 6 shelters that will house 1200 chickens. We will sell those chickens to raise funds for Ark of Grace. 2.We will purchase and set up a hammer mill that will be used to crush corn meal. It will make mealie-meals from the crushed maize cone. It will then be packaged and sold for a small sum. This is a staple of our Country. It will benefit many. 3.We will start growing our own food on site and sell whatever is left. 4.We plan to construct a dam creating a pond capable of maintaining a fish farm. 5.The land God promised and so graciously gave to us is very fertile. Fruit trees will be planted and domestic animals will be raised such as goats, pigs, sheep, and cows. What isn’t used for Ark of Grace, will then be sold.
Water Project: (I happy to say this goal has been met!!!)
This water project comes at a cost of about K23,000.00. It is a large sum, but we trust in our God who knows our needs. It will include a borehole submersible deep well pump, a 2000 liter tank, a tank stand, and all the cables, and pipes needed. This will benefit more than 800 people in the surrounding community. It will provide them with safe and clean drinking water free of the water born diseases so many suffer from. So many people go without any clean water to drink at all. Most drink or gather water from the same streams their animals and wildlife drink from. It will also provide the orphans with all the safe water they need.
Orphan Housing Project: (This goal should be met by first of 2018; some monies are still needed!)
The construction plans include 10 houses for the orphans at a cost of K300,000.00. Each house will accommodate 10 orphans or vulnerable children, and a foster couple/or widow to take care of them. They will act as parents for the children caring for all of their needs. It will also provides jobs/housing for poor couples/widows who have no job and no home. The homes will be constructed using crushed stones and brick. A team of volunteers; board members, Church members, and locals will do all the work. They will dig the foundations, provide the sand, and manpower needed by qualified, and skilled workers.
The Clinic Project: (Still is only a vision/a hope!)
A clinic is such a big need for my people. Many are dying from preventable diseases because they cannot afford the $3.00 necessary to be seen and treated. It is such a small sum, but few have it to give. We wish to build a free clinic with three wards; one for male, one for female, and a maternity ward. It will also have four rooms: three for the Doctors and one room for drugs. The cost of this project is estimated at K80,000.00. It will be constructed by the same means used to build the orphans houses. It will benefit over 9,000 people in the community including bible students at the campus, orphans, vulnerable children, widows, the old, and the poor.
Multipurpose Building Project: (Still need your help with this!)
This multipurpose building will serve several functions. It will have a kitchen, a main room, and 4 classrooms. It will be a feeding center where the poor can come and get a well-balanced meal. It will be an activity center for the children. It will also function as a Church where people can come to worship. It will be a gathering place for all types of activities. It will be constructed as the others at an estimated cost of K150,000.00.
How Can We Achieve All Of This:
Helen Keller said: “Is there anything worse than being blind? Yes, a man with sight having no vision.”Helen Keller also said: “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.”
God has given us at Ark of Grace a bold vision to overcome the suffering of His people. If God has called us to do a certain thing, He will also give us the means to do it.
--- John 15:16 16 You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
We at Ark of Grace have a vision; a vision to produce much fruit, to overcome the suffering that we see, and honor God in the doing of it. We seek for all to know they have value and their value is seen in Christ’s suffering. We seek to give dignity to those that have none. We seek to share the gospel with all we see and offer them hope in Christ Jesus. We will do all this using His great name as we seek to do all we feel He has appointed us to do.
1.We call on individuals, Church groups, Sunday School groups, women’s organizations, and children’s mission groups to adopt any of the above projects and help us achieve them. 2. We call on all who feel God’s calling to come to Zambia on mission trips to help with what talents/skills God has blessed them with. 3.We invite any groups who help us to come or send a representative to see their monies/gifts in action and see God’s work being done. 4.You can donate funds individually or corporately through www.arkofgrace.weebly.com 5. We invite you to visit the website and sponsor an orphan, purchase original artwork by Kathie Luther and original Christian poetry by Vasquez Savage. 6.You can support the Amanda’s dresses project.
We accept donations on our website through PayPal. I know this vision is bold and the funds it will take to achieve seem large and beyond our reach, but our God we serve is a big God and is able to supply beyond what we can ever imagine or dream. We see these projects being done in phases over a six year period. You can adopt a project by the giving of your groups name (e.g., East End Baptist Church-Multi Purpose Project). Thank you all for what you have already done and for what the Lord might lead you to do for this bold vision called Ark of Grace. Let us all seek God’s face and give from the bounty He has given us. Give as God leads you. Help us with this Great Commission He has given us to help the poor of Zambia and produce much fruit.
