--Pastor Timothy Parker: "Pastor Daka and myself Co-Founded Ark Of Grace Ministries with the help of God who pulled the heart strings of a lot of good people who have made all this possible by donating regularly. Many give sacrificially out of obedience to God.....for God is in this ministry and is doing great things.
Brother Daka and I are amazed at what God is doing. Our desire is to finish this work of love, and to be a conduit for you to work hand in hand with the Lord and bless these children. I think you will find it will also bless your family by your obedience in the Lord. I knew 2 years ago that God had opened a great door that he had promised me years ago, I was patient, obedient and faithful looking for the pearl of God, it came in the form of Pastor Daka and Ark Of Grace Ministry was born soon after, as it grew, True Bible Church was added and now the second True Bible Church there is Zambia. The ministry has seen rapid growth, AOG land and compound, GACA School's in Virginia and Zambia, True Bible Church's in Virginia and Zambia, Fresh water well nearing completion, 36+ children supported monthly, many feeding days at the promised land, Children getting medical treatment, food and clothing. A large network of prayer warriors, supporting partners and a large host of loving, caring people of God sacrificing almost daily to help in the pearl of great price. I knew early by the amount of local indifference, opposition and animosity that this was something very special and precious from God---"Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." It was my pearl of great price and I traded everything for it. It has been everything and more that God promised! I'm very thankful and humbled that God has connected me with some of the greatest people to serve with on the face of the earth! May God continue to bless AOG, TBC, GACA!" Pastor Tim, --Karissa Thornburg: "I am the daughter of Timothy and Shirley Parker. I am also the wife of Preston Thornburg, a Marine Veteran. We have 2 children. I currently do childcare in my home in order to be a stay at home mother. I guess you could say I am the AOG secretary. I help keep up with sponsors and answer their questions. I do the book keeping for donations and make sure they are used according to the sponsors wishes. Working with my Dad, Pastor Timothy and Brother Daka has been a great blessing. Ark of Grace has given me a family all over the world. It is so nice to deliver to each orphan their support monthly and see all the picture updates. I love to hear everyone's comments and excitement of seeing their orphan receive the things that they can supply to them. I also love hearing how each AOG supporter is blessed in return when I listen to what God leads each of them to do. It blesses me so much to know I can make a difference in such a small way just by doing what I am called to do! It amazes me what God is doing with all of us through Ark of Grace. I am blessed and honored to be called to do this missions work for our LORD! He just keeps on blessing and supplying every need that arises; and He does it over and over again!" Karissa, --Penny Foster: "Shortly after my first mission trip to Malawi, I received a friend request from Pastor Isaac. At that time Pastor Isaac and I began a conversation about the people of Zambia and their many needs which are many and are still on-going.
He shared with me a vision about how to provide for those needs to the honor and glory of God in obedience to the Great Commission. In two and a half short years, I have seen this ministry acquire land, build homes and a school, grow its first harvest of corn, and raise funds to drill a well to provide safe water for the area. God has provided! May He continue to bless the work of the many hands that have participated!" penny, --Laura Guerin: "The boys and I wanted to help someone in need. They wanted to help a boy from another country. God led us to find AOG ministry. I'll share the story of the boy we are sponsoring.
I praise the good Lord for the provisions that we have. Turn on a faucet and hot/cold water comes out. Turn on a light and we can see. Turn down the covers on our bed and we can sleep in comfort. If you would share their web page, it would be the least you could do to help the orphans, the widows, and the poor as God commanded us to do." |
--Amanda Darby Dykes: "We at The Amanda Dress Project are blessed to support Pastor Daka and the Ark of Grace Foundation. With his help, we are able to come together to show orphans the love of Jesus with the simple gift of a handmade dresses. We always look forward to seeing our gifts in action!"
--Lorraine Van Rooyan: "There is good feedback of where your money goes always!" --Karen Wood Snyder: "I love that we are providing food for the hungry and helping create a self sustaining organization!" --Janette Hunt Shugar: "We appreciate you answering the call on your life and doing all that you guys are doing to help and bless these precious children and the people involved." --Ron C. Kyker: "I am a writer/poet. I help write for Pastor Daka and AOG. I also help administrate the AOG website. My duties have grown over the past one and 1/2 years since I first made facebook friends with Pastor Daka. I have found him to be a most Godly man who seeks only to fulfill the grand vision to build a modern day Ark of God's grace that God has given to him to help the widows, poor, orphans, and needy of Zambia. There are no paid staff. 100% of the funds go to those who need it. Pastor Daka and everyone I have worked with at AOG are the most humble servants of God I have ever had the joy to work with. I thank God daily for the great blessing of being only a small part of the work God is doing through these awesome people! I am truly blessed! I know you will be also if the Lord impresses upon your heart to become a part of the growing AOG Family and fulfill your calling to join in the Master's work "To seek and to save that wich is lost" in Zambia, in the USA, and to the ends of the Earth! May God bless AOG and all who serve God through her; and may God's favor be on every single one who is a part of AOG. I pray you will find His favor as well!" ron, --Marian Mathews-nee Mackay: "I have watched in amazement to see all that God has done.
A few years ago I somehow came to know Pastor-Isaac Daka through facebook. I don't even know how that contact happened, but I do remember how God laid this wonderful man and his family on my heart. He was really struggling then and used to message me asking if I would pray for them. He was longing to set up an orphanage and have some suitable land for farming. At that time, the Church I belonged to in Bedford (I have since moved to Victory Church Cwmbran in South Wales) was already supporting and sponsoring the work of two other Pastors—One in Malawi and one in Tanzania. People were giving sacrificially to these two areas of need in Africa and visiting them too. It was therefore impossible to take on yet a third project. I prayed so much that God would provide for Pastor Isaac and his people. I prayed that if there was anything I could do to bring the help needed to make Pastor Isaac's work known, that God would show me how to do it. I remember wishing I was wealthy so I could do more! A small pension just doesn't stretch far enough for all I would like to help. Then, God led me to pray earnestly that He would raise up others to help Pastor Isaac. He also guided me to share the work of Pastor Isaac on my own wall and on a group wall that was set up by Lorraine Van Rooyen at the time of the Welsh Outpouring here in Cwmbran in 2013. Lorraine is an amazing woman of God. At that time, she sent her widow's mite to Pastor Isaac and also spread the news of all he was trying to do for God with so little. Since then, I have watched in amazement to see all that God has done in such a short time through Pastor Isaac. Then, I found your testimony and I am sitting here in the wee hours of Sunday morning praising God for the wonderful way He answers our prayers even before we pray them! I can also tell you that it turned out that the man in Malawi the church in Bedford was supporting is named Kapalamula Banda (known as “Booker”). I discovered he is a great friend of Pastor Isaac's father! Since then, Pastor Isaac has been to Booker's big training days in Malawi and has even lead the youth work there. He may have spoken at the leader's meetings too. Just now after reading your testimony of how God called you to the Ark of Grace 22 years ago, I am rejoicing in the way God brings these networks of His people together from all around the world in order to reach the lost and raise up men like Pastor Isaac to head up the work in his part of Zambia. I never cease to be amazed by our wonderful God who is still performing miracles today! How I thank Him for you Kathy and how I thank Him for my friend Lorraine too. I am in awe of our God and all He is able to achieve through people like you. God bless you abundantly in all you are doing!" |

My Dream For Africa
(by kathie luther)
Pastor Daka asked me to write my testimony of how God called me to ark of grace in my dreams many years ago when he was still yet a little child. He also asked me to share it with all of you by posting my testimony on the AOG website.
Here is my testimony; Here is my dream for Africa!
I began to have dreams about Africa many years ago. They began around 1995. In one of my dreams, I remember seeing a jungle and I was planting two circular strawberry beds side-by-side right next to each other. When the berries were ready, I picked them and fed the fruit to the native peoples who came out of the jungle.
In another dream, I had a son who went to Africa to serve God and do missions work. There were other dreams I can't remember much about now, but they're all written down in a book that I wrote. I looked for many years for just the right ministry. I helped a friend, Gloria Smith, with orphanages that she worked for in Africa. I also helped another well known ministry with their orphanages there in Africa for a while. Then I met a good friend who introduced me to Ark of Grace. The Lord sent me new dreams to confirm that I found the right ministry God was calling me to at last. I saw my Dad's house in a dream and there was a Noah's Ark in his living room. Noah was standing on top of the Ark and living water was pouring out like a waterfall from the Ark. The water had power in it, because I saw a small tsunami in it. I stepped into the river that was forming from the Ark and got my feet all wet. The water was headed towards my dad's dining room and it began to flood into the room.
What all these dreams meant to me is this―I was to feed the native peoples of Africa. Strawberry plants multiply by sending out long stems called runners with a tiny daughter plant at the end of each runner. This will root and make a new plant. I believe the two strawberry beds mean two kinds of fruit that would multiply. It must mean spiritual fruit as well as actual food for the body. Ark of Grace ministries fills both of these needs! And the son in Africa in my dream? It is Pastor Daka. He was also Noah on the Ark in my other dream. This dream shows me the power of the ministry flowing out as living water and it was going into the dining room of my father. These are the feeding days in the house of my father God that pastor Daka has a heart for. Both physical food and spiritual food are given as Pastor Daka ministers to people on those feeding days! This is why I am so excited about Ark of Grace and the work that is going on there! I am positive without a doubt, I have finally found where God has called me to serve in Africa! I am excited to have gotten in on the humble beginnings of Ark Of Grace, was able to help purchase the land promised to them by God, and to be a part of many of the other AOG projects since then!
I am blessed; I've been able to bless; And blessed is the name of the Lord in Africa because of AOG! It took me about 20 years to find Pastor Daka! He was only a boy in 1995. He was about the age of my own son then. It is so very exciting as I consider how God's plan works together like a puzzle or a tapestry in which the pieces finally start to fit perfectly. For you see, God had called me before he called the pastor; and I am sure that he called each one of you to the Ark of Grace family the same way He had planned for me to be a part of this ministry. The Lord has people all over the United States and in other countries that He has called to be a part of this awesome family of God to do his work together united as one in Christ!
When you really think on this, you must be as amazed as I am at the way God works in people! Those God calls He also equips, so don't be discouraged. Each one of you has a part, an assignment from God , a job to do if you will. The pieces of the puzzle fit perfectly, the tapestry is coming together nicely, and the fruit will multiply. The power of God's Spirit will not stop, but will unceasingly flow from this Ark by the Grace of God himself!
God bless each one if you!
